Go the F*** to the Library

Each week Miss Kathleen provides links to a variety of stories about libraries, authors, and books. If there's something noteworthy going on in your local library, leave us a comment!

How did I NOT know about this website? The name really says it all: Go the F*** to the Library. Go already, to the library and the website! (Strong language alert.)

TENT
There's still time to buy gifts! Well, sort of, but this list of book gifts was too great not to share. A tent that looks like a book? Yes, please!

Bad news from Egypt. The Egyptian Scientific Institute was burned in the latest protests.

Librarian, or heroic child-rescuer? Try BOTH! Here's a great story to warm your hearts.
SHELF

But wait! Here's some bad news to go with that good news: someone swindling from the library. Boo hiss!

Another week, another great bookshelf to share! This one is particularly nice because it separates the read books from the to-be-read ones. Handy!

I got a tip from a reader (thanks, Erin!) about a great new bookstore in Minneapolis — all volunteer run! If you're in the area, go check out Boneshaker Books

It's Amazon vs. the indie bookstores! Whose side are you on? (Can I use both?)
BRONTE

Tiny book, hefty price! Because it was written by one Charlotte Bronte. So cute!

What was your favorite book of 2011? Zone OneThe Art of Fielding1Q84? Please write in the comments, then take a look here and see if they've got your number. Mine? Um, does re-reading Middlesex count? ............
